I prefer game and learning pick up to be something low key anyways. So as much as I hate censorship or whatever is happening here, it's beneficial, at least in my opinion. The last thing I want is a bunch of people down Lincoln Road in Miami to try to pick up women and fucking my own shit up.

Possibly RSD was getting too big, too unwieldy and too corporate. If it disappears it will probably be a good thing. All successful companies at some point become too big to listen and respond to customers appropriately, because management is too involved in corporate minutiae to listen to what the customers and frontline employees are telling them.

Large corporations also attract more and more criticism because they are unfairly considered the "brand name" for whatever the public dislikes about their industry.

The coaches who have great ideas and great energy will continue coaching. They will have less corporate marketing working for them but they'll get to keep a lot more of the money they generate.

I've noticed a few months ago that it appears as if game is going "underground" again, just like it was prior to The Game coming out.

I think part of it has to do with the current political climate. JulienGate didn't help RSD at all, and almost took the whole company down.

Also it's possible that there are a lot of legal entanglements that may occur due to a combination of false rape allegations, actual rapes by people who happen to follow RSD stuff, and the general unsavoriness of this while subculture. RSD likely wants to distance itself from that, especially given that one outrageous Reddit post that "exposes" RSD.

I myself have started to keep my involvement in this subculture hidden due to the general public's inability to understand nuance, and how some idiot journalist can easily misrepresent it. Not to mention how some retarded newbies just tend to ruin shit for guys who have been in it for a while. The general mechanics of game have been hashed out in enough programs that there isn't really much new to teach/learn, except mechanics revolving around technology and social trends.
