As a secondary school student in Paris, i've witnessed some shocking examples of political bias and unprofessional teaching spouting out their marxist ideologies. Specifically my economics and sociology teacher. Now before you tell me what do I expect from a sociology teacher, most of them are leftists anyways. What bothers me is that they simply aren't allowed to spout their ridiculous theories about how everyone but white males are oppressed. After a small debate about the importance of higher education the teacher goes even farther saying that minorities and women are disavantaged, even though it's exactly the opposite with afirmative action. She went on about how all the politicians where old white males with degrees from prestigious universities. Me being an american immigrant to france, tried to explain that with discipline intelligence and motivation you can pull your self up by your boot staps and succeed. She goes on to say that my white privelege is that from a young age my parents pushed me to pursue higher education and high standard of living, and that minorities and women didn't get the same treatment from their parents. Which is complete bullshit considering that I was never pushed to succeed yet i'm already on my way to success. She then strayed from the topic to talk about that the white standard of beauty is a medium sized, thin and beautiful and that is bad apparently. She goes on about taxing the rich and getting rid of prestigious private universities, and basically saying that privatization of anything is bad. These opinions are becoming more and more apparent to me in this country, and i'm stuck here until i'm 18. How do I deal with the bullshit and marxist indoctrination going in the country?
