I'm new to theredpill. I've barely started to make any improvements to my life yet and have just been reading. What I really need to work in is my confidence. I'm not comfortable with what I look like. I'm 18 and balding, skinny, pale, big nose, etc. That being said for the first time in my life I attracted a girl.

She's my sisters friend who goes to a different school. She was unaware of my social standing because we go to different schools. I'm a mechanic, dirty type guy. She's a cheerleader and jock type. She was initially attracted to me, somehow. She pursued me. Asked for my number. We started to hangout after texting for a bit. She quickly learned that I'm a timid, passive guy (I'm trying to change). She asked me if I'd be uncomfortable if she made a move on me. I said no. She started making out with me. It was the first time I kissed a girl.

We kept doing that for a while. We'd hangout, make-out and then cuddle. To be completely honest she was the dominate one. She always initiated kissing and was just far more aggressive sexually than I was. We slept in the same bed one night and I clumsily and drunkenly tried to initiate sex. It didn't work and she told me that she didn't want "it" to happen like "this". She knew I was a virgin and she talked about making it special when I lose my virginity.

Shortly after that she started to flat out ignore me. No explanation. No response. Nothing. She was just gone.

Then I find out that she is seeing another guy. A guy who has a girlfriend. This guy breaks up with his girlfriend to be with her. This guy is older than me. Bigger than me and has a cooler job than me. (He works at the gym she goes to).

I have witnessed hyper-gamy. I have a better understanding now. When I started talking to this girl she was seeing someone else.

The guy she was originally seeing was the same age as her. He was a decent looking guy and played on a few teams. No car and No job however.

She stopped talking to him for me. I am two years older than her. I'm "hot" (according to her). I don't play on teams but I demonstrated pre-selection in a different way (girls blowing up my phone). I have a hobby I'm passionate about, I have a decent job and own my own car.

She left me for a guy 4 years older than her. He's a good looking guy and big. I works at a gym and has girls all over him. He also goes to a lot of parties. His job is cool and he has a nicer car than me.

It's interesting to hypergamy in action.

I have a greater understanding now because I was able to witness it. I got to see every single guy this girl burned through to find the one she wanted. The "best" one.

It is really eye opening.
