I’m not going to say it doesn’t happen because I’m sure there’s one or two cave trolls in here who are ACTUALLY pulling it off. But typically, guys aren’t leveraging Instagram to FIND women. They’re leveraging to build or strengthen a pre-existing relationship. A better route for you (and any gentleman here who’s interested) would be to go on Tinder / Bumble / Hinge... Spark up a conversation... then ask for the Instagram. From there, it’s a lot easier to “convert” a prospect into a customer. Food for thought, man.

Gotcha!! I just got the idea because my ex wife would be inundated with DMs on social media from random guys. Now that she's single, I have a feeling that she's taking some of those guys up on their offers but that could just be my fucked up mind at work! lol Most likely it's guys that she has met or knows through mutual acquaintances. Good to know.

As for finding local girls to follow, use location tags. Think of places near your house, or just use the name of your city or college. Do an IG location search. Scroll through the location-tagged pics. When you find a cute or interesting girl, follow her, tag her, comment or DM her.
