Today's drill:

  • Walk up to 5 women and ask them for the time. LEAVE.

  • Walk up to 5 women again an ask them for the time, but do the drill faster. LEAVE.

There were many questions about where people can find the program. Google: Good Looking Losers approach anxiety program.

In the morning, I felt a lot of resistance and fear of doing today's drill. Because yesterday was not going very well, I was ignored 2x and that felt like a rejection. But there were also just positive reactions, but I don't remember them that quickly.

My AP STD_Tyler also had resistance today and has already done the drills. I have also read other people's experiences that day 1 of the program for most people did not go so smoothly. That gave me the feeling that it is normal, but also motivation. The first day is usually the hardest, that is the case with everything.

In the morning at 9 o'clock I went for a run and I immediately approached the first woman. I then entered social momentum and felt more comfortable. Immediately after this I approached several women while running, a total of 5 women in about 10-15 minutes. The women were middle-aged. It went very smoothly. I felt more and more confident and the fear was largely gone. The difference here in the Netherlands compared to Belgium was big for me. In the Netherlands, people are more open and friendly and they don't mind being approached by strangers.

I also noticed that my body language was very different today and when I asked them for the time I also had more smile on my face. They were all happy that I approached them and ask for the time.

I still have 4 to go. I will update later.

Update: 6,7,8 went good. Women 9: I asked a women that was walking near me and she got angry and said: sorry, I am on the phone. I didn’t notice that she was on the phone, she head earbuds on. That place was quite busy street and I felt embarrassed. It hurted me. After that, I felt anxious and wanted to give up.

In the end I dared to ask 1 more person. It went better than yesterday, but in a quite busy street I still find it scary.
