Highly situational and it takes a good understanding of body language, and knowing the other person relatively well enough that they won't feel threatened. Eye contact helps loads here.

I've done it a few times before but it was pretty obvious that girl wanted to sleep with me. Half the times she was already in my bed. I think only a handful of times I just straight up asked and it worked.

In my experience, most women do not appreciate the straightforward approach. Obviously, it depends on the woman and your relationship with her. Even then, however, I've found that most women prefer to be wooed. It makes them feel wanted.

I don't remember who said it, might've been Bobby Rio or John Sinn or someone but, the further you are away from the woman in terms of age, or looks, or sexual market value, or intellect or whatever, the more you want to be indirect in your approach. If you're 50 and she's 22, coming at her with a direct proposition is not likely to work. But if you're an alpha celebrity and she's a 10/10 model, then you can be more direct. This is obviously all situational and a lot has to do with how the woman sees herself relative to you (which you can't really know if you're just meeting someone). The other thing is, if there is a time constraint, like you're on a subway or it's daygame or she's leaving town tomorrow, then you have to be more direct just because of circumstances.

There's different schools of thought here. Alan Roger Currie always advocates a bold, direct approach. Part of the reason why is because this works to screen out girls that are uninterested or likely to waste time and it also is a high stakes games that reveals the girls that are truly down for you. Also women do reward boldness. You're not likely to get friendzoned like this because its clear where you want things to go. It also communicates a certain carefree attitude on your part, that you're not going to walk on eggshells around her, and that you go for what you want. But it might scare off girls that would otherwise be interested in you but think you're coming on too strong. You really have to be calibrated. Having high social proof really helps here.

The problem is many guys just are not this confident and can't really negotiate the litany of shit tests and congruence tests women will throw at you under these circumstances. If you come direct a woman is going to test you HARD both for comfort (are you a good guy) and congruence (are you actually the person you claim to be) and most guys are not in a mental place to let that bounce off them. This is a great approach for a guy who's approached tons of women and knows how to insulate himself from all the bullshit that will come his way. This is learning to swim in the deep end.

The second problem is that you need to be experienced enough to know how the woman sees herself. A 10/10 model does not want to be told "she's fucking hot." Because she knows that, she's a model and every guy since she was 14 years old has probably been telling her that. But saying that to a 7 might make her day. But saying that a 2 or 3 might come off as pandering and untruthful because that girl likely knows she's not a competitor to the 10 and she also knows you can't compete for the 10 either. So the more direct you are, the more you need to understand your target market and almost become a specialist. indirect approach works better for more of a generalist mindset where you get whatever you can, work your way in the door and then close from there. Both are perfectly valid techniques. Both techniques also cater to women's love of the idea of "it just happened" or "one thing lead to another."
