Are you prepared for the potential, repeated social awkwardness if she rejects you?
I might do some subtle flirting and information gathering first (i.e., find out if she has a boyfriend) because the odds aren't great for you if you can't even tell if she likes you or has a SO.
You're basically tossing a coin in the air hoping that it lands on heads when really your odds sound less than chance.

Ask her out on a date just you and her, and go from there. Set the activity, date and time. If it goes well, wait a few days and then ask her on another date. If all you do is confess how much much you like her, you may come off needy and desperate.

I told one of my closer friends about a month ago that I liked her and we havent talked since. It's good to get your feelings across, just be ready for the potential downsides of it not going well.

All she said was that she had another friend of hers do this a couple months ago and that I should, "Just give me a break." I took that as a solid, message her in a few months on her birthday and see what comes of it. Really I expect this "break" to be the end of our friendship. I'm glad I expressed my feelings because I couldnt just sit there and act like I didnt want more from the relationship, but i also miss my close friend. Oh well, such is life.

Yeah it’s crazy cause I would not mind if my friends who are women confessed their feelings. But then again that happens to women in their early teenage years I guess it would get old after a while.
