Hello r/seduction, it's a been while since I've been in any dating scene or even talked to girls at all. I'm not a virgin, and even had a couple good years with hook ups but did some self focusing for a while and stop pursuing anyone.

Anyways, its been a long time and randomly went out with a friend to grab some coffee while doing some work (it was late, like 10pm) and when we get to the coffee place we have a mutual friend with a girl there (she was pretty hot) and we get out and chat for a short bit. I break off from this group and go inside for a bit, when I come back I had this weird vibe with everyone looking at me and wanting me to talk etc. I leave with my friend and go home. Next day, this friend tells me that she was asking about me and to quote said "Soo, whos your friend?", "What's his name?", "Is he single? Looking to mingle?".

So, I added her on Facebook had some fairly bland conversation (made her laugh a bit), and setup a time to meet up for coffee/cruise in a couple days. I dont say anything in those couple days, but on that day I shoot a message checking if shes still down and wanna meetup. She responds with "Yeah, I'll be X place." (X place being a place where this mutual group of friends meets up every weekend) which was weird, because I didn't mean with her and her friends. But I just ignored that and said, "that's cool I'll message you later, I'm off work at 3".

5 Rolls around, and I message her a "hey, whats up". She responds with "Hey, just out at X". I reply with, "cool, you wanna meet up now?". Then radio silence for 3 hours. I've decided at that point it wasn't gonna happen and started other plans, but then got a message of "Hey, we moved to Y", at this point I just blatantly ask "Well, want me to come pick you up? Lets go for a cruise". Zero response. It's now 11pm, and I'm back home. I message her with "So, what happened tonight? I thought we were gonna meetup. I didn't mean with you and your friends", she responds with "Ohh, I'm sorry. I know thats what you meant", I'm annoyed at this point, she doesn't offer any new time and doesnt have an excuse, so I respond with "Alright, all good. If you wanna meet up another time then let me know". To which she responds "I'm busy tomorrow" and thats it.

At this point, I'm done. I'm not gonna beg her to hang out. I just remove her. I don't feel like I came off as needy in anyway, and I can't say she wasn't interested. I'm sure it's very possible she wanted me to meet with her and friends (and get her friends approval before leaving) but her friends know me already, I'm not a complete random stranger. But I do feel like I dodged a bullet, I learned from my mutual friend she hangs out with that group of friends at that coffee place every single night. So I'm sure I'd end up having to date that entire group of people.
