This is really a question of what you're bringing to the table.

There are 8 things that make a guy attractive, looks, confidence, leadership, skill, ambition, social intelligence, popularity, and access to nice things or a nice lifestyle.

I don't put the last one down as wealth or money because there are other ways to have access to a nice lifestyle, like knowing the right kinds of people or having the right kind of job.

So anyway, the higher your levels on each of these things, the less something like an accent will matter.

If you're on such a high level on all these things you won't even need to speak the same language. For example, I'm pretty sure the UFC fighter Paulo Costa who doesn't speak much English would still be able to have sex with American women if he wanted to.

But if you have low levels of these things then you're gonna need all the help you can get and that would include an accent that is at least clear and does not require people to strain to understand.

So really, if you are struggling because of your accent then you need to work on developing the 8 things that make a man attractive.

This should also put into perspective how much of a factor looks is. Don't worry if you're not exactly a male model, looks is only 1 out of 8.

You'll be much happier developing things like your skills, leadership, and social intelligence anyway.

Also, on the other side of the coin, some girls might actually find your accent sexy. People tend to find accents that are different to theirs attractive.

The South African accent is often confused for an Australian one here in America. Most American girls wont be able to tell the difference unless you tell us
