Good evening gents,

At least it is evening as I'm writing this where I am at, haha.

I live in a decently sized commuter subarb, where I have been going out to a local luxury mall to both shop and meet girls every few weekends for the past couple months. It has been difficult balancing building these skills, working on myself, in addition to full time school and full time work. Anyway, I digress.

I haven't been getting great results, an occasional number that falls flat is the best I've gotten so far. The majority of girls that I meet say that they have boyfriends. I have yet to get a cold shoulder or "fuck off" from a girl.

Today, however, was quite an interesting experience. I approached a lovely looking girl who was waiting at a Starbucks at this mall, introduced myself, and we talked for a couple minutes while she waited for her order to come up. I feel the interaction went well, she's a year younger than me (I'm 20, she's 19), and we talked about traveling, sports, living abroad, etc. We swapped numbers and kept talking when another girl (let's call her Kat) immediately swept in, blocked me off, moved the girl i was talking to away, and went inside the Starbucks store where there were a lot of people.

I was unsure what was happening, as this Kat literally cut us off in the middle of a sentence, and it was clear that they did not know each other. Kat's opening line was "Oh my gosh, I love your shoes!" They came out a couple minutes later, Kat's boyfriend joined them, and they took off. I said fuck it, and went to take off too, and unfortunately I needed to go in the same direction they were heading. Kat comes around and asks me "Excuse me, are you like trying to follow us?" I made it clear that I was not following them, and she starts becoming accusatory. I said alright, I need to go in this same direction, I'll just run ahead so that it proves I am not following you. I go ahead, say goodbye to the girl I had met, and kept on moving, pondering the weird situation that I was just put in.

I find it odd that this happened, and is certainly much worse than "Worst she can say is no." I have had issues with girls since early in high school, where a girl I didn't know accused me of raping her. These situations have been my worst nightmare, and although I've been getting much more free socially since I started this journey earlier this year, I still do not want to come across as a creep, ever.

I was wondering if any guys or ladies in this group could comment about similar experiences or ways to minimize the risk of something like this happening to them, or a run in with a social justice warrior.

I understand that this is a dangerous world for women. Kat is amazing and is someone I would want to have around in the case of a menacing guy. I just don't understand why she felt the need to swoop in in this instance. I'm not sure how I should react, cope, and move of from this experience.
