The 'pull away to make her chase you' advice is good during the courtship. But not during a long-term relationship
Yes, it is good not to smother her, but going completely cold could have the opposite effect to what you intend, especially if she seems to be growing tired of you like you said...
If you don't want to turn into the boring guy, then suggest exciting stuff to do with her. Fun spontaneous dates. Mix things up in the bedroom. Honestly, there's loads more suggestions in any mainstream magazine about 'how to keep a relationship fresh'. Google that keyword.
What is causing this paranoia, anyway? According to your post, it's nothing. So, you might want to take a look at fixing your insecurities. The worst thing you can do in this situation is to show your paranoia.

Pull away in a healthy manner. Pick up a new hobby, continue/start lifting, hike, rock climb, snowboard, learn to trade stocks. So much shit that you can get sucked into. This will make you less available and probably not respond to her texts for a couple hours because you’re busy.

Be less a Available because you found things that make you less available. Not just to make her chase you. Saying that, maybe give her attention in different ways. Maybe just buy flowers for no reason. Be a little spontaneous.
Idk man, every situation is different. Hopefully you’ll find some advice that clicks but there could be a bunch of things going on. Hope it turns out well.

If yes then follow your gut you're right.
Does he constantly remind you of how good you are together and how she's amazing for you?
Does she get super jealous and try to make something out of nothing about girls you talk to years ago?

Improve yourself to the point where other girls are interested in you. At that point it won't even matter if she's cheating on you. Don't let oneitis ruin you.

Hey op, hope everything works out well for you! I agree that you probably should invest a little more energy into your own self improvement. Withdrawing in order to make her chase you, seems a little manipulative for a long term relationship. Working on yourself, and not relying on another person for your own happiness is healthy, and generally considered more attractive. After 16 months you really owe it to each other to be honest with yourselves and each other about what you each need. You may be on the same page, as far as the relationship continuing like it is, maybe changes need to happen, or maybe it’s run it’s course. One of these has to be true. Whatever the case is, as two people who really care for each other, the two of you can insure that the experience you shared together remains a positive one for each of you. If you both want the same thing, ( and I hope that’s the case ) then excellent, however if one of you wants something else, that has to be respected too. I wish you all the best op, and I hope that no matter what happens, the two of you always have a positive relationship with each other. If your lucky enough have an amazing person in your life that gets you, it’s worth keeping that person in your life.
