I think you over-simplified what an entire book says, and sometimes you also took it too literally.

I have read all the books you mentioned (and many others, for that matter). Never spent time on YouTube watching those ridiculous scammers.

I think Models is still a great book for self improvement, many of the concepts it delivers are always valid and, more important, you have to adapt those concepts to yourself.

I didn’t like No Mr Nice Guy, I’ve read it out of curiosity, but I’ve never been a nice guy, so it was difficult to relate. What it teaches is ok too, though.

Here's my interpretation of your two examples. I will admit they require extrapolation and mark probably could've made their points better, but they really require no further interpreting than the average bible passage.

if you don't approach a woman you find beautiful, you're being dishonest.

You're being dishonest to yourself and your desire. Ideally we'd always approach someone we felt attracted to right? So if I don't, why not? Most people at this point would make up an excuse (classics being its not the right place or worried how other people will think), but the real reason is always the same: I was chickenshit in that moment. Not recognising that is dishonesty.

if you stereotype women ("all women are gold diggers"), you're being needy.

Follow the line of thinking. What kind of person says all women are gold diggers? Billionaires who buy women (who are probably not reading Models), or more likely some chump frustrated with his inability to get women. He blames his own failing (poor/ugly/no social skills) on an external factor (women=golddiggers), which then means any improvement he makes is going to need external validation -he'll never be good enough without a woman telling him he is. Hence, neediness.

Youare however right that NMMN I'd a better book, but Models is an old book and the work he laid for the scene is invaluable.

If anything it sounds like your problem is less with Models than it is with the people who only know how to parrot "read Models".
