Feminists often claim to understand this and that

I choose to be unlike them here, and say I have no idea what it is like, to be a mother. I never will.

I will not pretend to understand, won't tell mothers how to feel and all that. However, I also refuse to glorify their bodily function as somehow giving goddess-status. When I listen to some mothers, it sounds like they actually genetically engineered the child and manually built it molecule by molecule with their bare hands, and that all men as a group are somehow innately indebted for that.

That is stupid.

Ironically femenists who claim to want inclusion are the most self-absorbed generation of women that's ever lived. Some women now enter motherhood like its a part of their career or a hobby they picked up, then become annoyed/distant when they lose interest, when true parenthood is supposed to be completely selfless and achieved through self-sacrifice. If the inclination to self-sacrifice for others you care about doesn't come to you, then you've been deprived of the greatest part of the human experience and I pity you.

Our hedonistic, self-obsessed culture does not prepare people for the hardships that follow when the honeymoon phase ends. Our cultural elites explicitly want to depopulate the world and destroy the nuclear family, its why they push abortion so hard and keep railing home how many marriages fail and how financially hard it is to raise a family. Its all completely intentional.

I think glorifying motherhood in this manner is what causes so many marriages to dissolve.

How many men are going to enjoy hearing this quote one year into a sexless marriage with a wife who’s still breastfeeding and struggling to lose the baby weight?

Don’t get me wrong: it’s wonderful to bring new life into this world, but there are a lot of miserable parents out there and it’s not just women. There are a lot of men struggling as well with the stress that children bring into their lives and marriages. I think if we focused more on educating people about these changes, then we would all be more prepared and both men and women could move through parenthood with a lot more happiness.

But part of it is recognizing the brutality of parenthood without any glorification or romanticization.

I'll mention that to women I know who have complained about a fetus using their bladder as a football 😂

Sadly the theoretical ideas of babies and children dissolves when met with reality.

And don't forget meconium, that stuff is just vile. Motherhood and birth just really brings home how much humans are sacks of goo 🤢
