Some women absolutely hate the idea of you dating other women at the same time, others are indifferent, and it's actually a very small number who feel like it "boosts social proof." For the majority of women, they will either hate it, sometimes to the point where they lose interest in you, or they are mostly indifferent about it because they figure most people are talking to/dating others early on. It typically only boosts social proof in women who care a lot about what others think about them, and who may also be insecure.

If you are prepared to potentially never attend this hangout group again, then sure, date multiple women in the group at the same time.

Stop giving a shit about what they think of you doing it. Everyone is going to think differently and you can't please everyone. Just do what you want and what you feel like. If there are consequences, you'll handle them. You can't predict the future so I wouldn't try to plan that far ahead.
