Two wrongs don’t make a right. The irony of some people saying this when they’re the same people who talk about men without the quantifier “some”.

I agree that in the common way of speaking 'men' doesn't mean 'all men', but I disagree with 'not all women' being necessary and 'not all men' being simultaneously unnecessary. One can believe both are necessary or both are unnecessary, and I don't care, but if one is necessary and the other is not, we got a logical problem.

About the 'you can like what I say or stfu' sort of language, I don't get what makes women (note I didn't qualify, although I didn't mean 'all women' either, so my position on the linguistic issue is the same as hers) think that sort of language, generally inappropriate in woman-to-woman, man-to-man and man-to-woman communication, is somehow appropriate in woman-to-man.

I'm supremely tired of all those lasses demanding different treatment than they are meting out. Whatever has happened to, 'do unto others as you would be done unto?'

I'd say a big difference is that those statements of women talk about their weaknesses in different fields, while the comments of men are usually about them being monsters on earth here to kill us all.
