The same people who would call men insane for saying women should get drafted to war, because men always have to do it. But it's more normalized In society to say men should have it just as bad as women. But the opposite is considered too bad for them.

So it's funny how men are called immature by feminists for waiting women to deal with the extreme stuff their gender usually deals with. But yet the same feminists still give women a pass for doing the same thing because they are oppressed, and they are just responding to misogyny.

It's similar to the wergilds, tariffs for blood money (full for killing, fractional for wounding or insulting), set differently for different categories of subjects, like pasants and nobility, Romans and Franks (Salic Code), Britons and Saxons (Ine's Code), and so on in mediaeval or older laws regulating life in multi-ethnic kingdoms and empires.

As a researcher on the Dark Ages once put it, there's no need for immediate violent solutions. If you have two neighbours quarrelling and the courts are deciding fairly, so that they win and lose about half the time each, the disparity in the indemnities/penalties between them will eventually make the neighbour with the higher wergild richer and the neighbour with the lower wergild poorer. The system will take care of it over several generations.

This is isn't a direct parallel, but there is some analogy.

Additionally, trying to paint men as a sort of criminal underclass also looks like a bit of a balance thing. Some sort of social engineering to put men lower in social hierarchy. Average men, not the men truly in charge.
