The point of a cold approach isn’t to get a number in 1 minute and then walking away deluding yourself into thinking that the girl liked you just because she gave you the number, because you will find soon enough that she didn’t actually like you.

The point of a cold approach is to get to know her on the spot, spark a conversation (and not a conversation for the purpose of getting a number) i mean a conversation that resembles a small date, where you sit down relaxed with her, talk, flirt, relate to each other, get into personal stuff, be physical in a playful flirty manner even.

So no leaving your number in a note isn’t an effective way to get dates or any results, and there are various reasons.

The first reason is that 99% of the time girls won’t take the initiative, no matter what. It’s simply something that makes them feel as if they are being easy by adopting the role of the pursuer.

Women feel more comfortable being pursued than the other way around. And the only reason a woman would try to pursue is because the guy was genuinely a guy that stood out. Which brings me to the second reason.

You do not stand out by doing this. You are approaching a girl by asking her out for a date without knowing her name, and not knowing anything about her. You are basing your interest on her looks which is superficial and girls instantly get turned off when a guy only cares about her looks to ask them out.

You did not make them laugh in any way, you didn’t make them feel invested about you. And on top of that, if she is with her friends the friends are likely to talk her out of it by saying:

“_He is an stranger, he probably does this with every pretty girl, he only cares about that_”.

Giving a number to women is not seduction, getting a number does not mean the girl is interested because you haven’t seduced her. So even if they give a number to you, it doesn’t mean she will respond to it, let alone go on a date with you.

And again, let me repeat that there is a difference between getting a number, and getting the girl to like you. Getting a number is basically asking for a number and every guy can do that and get numbers here and there that lead nowhere because the girl is never interested.

The guys then complain that they suck at text game, and the reality is that they suck at cold approach (also known as daygame)

The reason the numbers don’t lead anywhere is not due to bad text game, it’s due to bad cold approaches that consisted on basically saying: “hey what’s your name? You work here? Oh you study? Cool, ok give me your number bye”

This is how how you pick up girls and this type of approach has the worst success ratio imaginable. You could do this script with 1000 women you cold approaches who gave you their number and 999 will never go on a date with you no matter what you text them.

I mean, I'm sure it would work for some women. And it's better than interrupting them or freaking them out.

The problem is the absolutely zero filtering. I would estimate that maybe 1 in every hundred or so girls if I'm lucky would gel with me well enough that I'd bother to date them. If I used this method, the strategy would have to a) work and b) guess correctly with a hundred sided die just for me to be on a date and enjoy myself. Do you guys absolutely not give a single fuck about anything to do with your prospective dates other than her looking fit?

It could go either way depending on the woman. Might come off as you were too timid to hit on her with her friends or might come off as respectful of who she’s there with… it probably wouldn’t be my first go to but to each their own. I had a woman once call the restaurant after she left to have the hostess give me her number. I was flattered but was curious why she didn’t approach me on her own.

Ive done it a couple times in the past for my bartenders at hotels but i was speaking with them, not because inwas scared i just felt it was the smoothest way to slide them my number.

But its good to give a girl your number imo, that way if she texts you then you know shes interested

It's a good way to approach if you're timid. You'd have to do it A LOT before you'd get someone to contact you, but this has always been a numbers game so might as well go for it.
