I'm dating a Filipino girl. She seems affectionate and caring. But really traditional. Meaning she always wants me to lead and pay for all the dates. As a person I believe in equality as my exs were German and from Greece. They didn't always relay on me. I don't have problems with paying but not every single time. She mentioned she likes branded items like Gucci or louis vuitton. I don't want to move further based on giving financial advantage. She is also working and definitely earning half of the money as me.

As a partner, I expect her to plan something as a surprise or select a restaurant or rooftop bar where we can go for a drink. Should I talk about these feelings directly or just mention them in some funny ways? I'm confused about what I should do in the situation
