Suddenly a bill is passed to have health insurance require coverage for ED medication.

Health insurance is scummy in general. They don't even want to pay for life saving meds and will fight you over it every step, they're not going to be rearing to go to pay for what most people see as a "boner medication."

Presuming this is regarding the US. How much are tablets? Are they avaliable over the counter at a pharmacy?

Just looked here in the UK, 64 Generic 'viagra' single dose tablets, £43.60 ($56.30). Only 88c a pop. Out of principle I kind of understand, but hopefully not prohibitive cost wise to prevent trying to sort.

Most insurance does cover them and the coverage is increasing now that the two most popular drugs are generics and therefore cheap. A better issue to complain about is that FDA still won’t approve them as over the counter. The main reason men don’t get these drugs is just the embarrassment factor of discussing with their doctor (which btw you shouldnt be; your doctor has seen more weird shit than you can imagine and a viagra prescription is an every day event. Better doctors will even be giving you a little nudge next time you get a physical, so just be ready and all it takes is a few words).
