I arrived here somewhat randomly, and I have a question. In many of the weekly threads, which I understand are about improving the lives of the posters, people post their lifts (what they can bench/squat/deadlift/etc) but not their incomes or savings. This strikes me as odd. If I were giving advice, my advice might change a great deal based on income and savings, but I can't really imagine it turning on lifts. For example, if someone with income to spare had conflicts with their spouse over housekeeping, I'd advise them to just hire someone to clean the house every week. And there are many similar problems which can be solved by money, or are really just money problems in disguise.

So why no income or savings? Is it something that was tried in the past and it had problems? Is it a privacy worry? Or did the culture just sort of evolve in this direction and there wasn't a conscious decision? What's behind it? Have I gotten some underlying assumption wrong? I am eager to learn.

I'm not sure if this question qualifies as a violation of your rule 13 (it is not clear what "a voice" constitutes). I apologize if it does.
