For privacy sakes I’m using different names

It was weird, So this Saturday night that just passed, My friends and I went over to my friends Mitchell’s house to watch UFC., So we watched UFC in the basement whatever whatever but then my friend Colin receives a text from Gabriella’s friend Emma saying that she wants to see him since she’s at Mitchell’s house to see his little sister Gabriella and Bella since they are all friends. (They have a thing going on and they are flirting/talking to each other “like that”) so my friend Mitchell and Colin and I go outside to the fire pit because Gabriella’s friend group is waiting outside at the fire pit so that Colin and Emma can go hangout and flirt with each other. So we have a little fire pit outside. Mitchell’s little sister Gabriella had her friends Bella and Emma come over too. Emma and Colin had a thing, so they were cuddling, and Emma had her arms around Colin, and Colin put his arm around her. Even if they were drunk, it was still a thing.

The part that confused me is that Mitchell’s little sister Gabriella cuddled with me too which caught me off guard. Throughout the night, I noticed her getting closer, and she kept moving her chair closer and didn’t even try to hide it. She then put her head on my shoulder, and at first, I didn’t know whether to put my arms around her or not so at first I kept my hands to myself for two reasons: 1.Im unsure if her actions are genuine because we all had been drinking and 2. Meanwhile I’m worried about what my friend Mitchell is going to think because Then she got even more comfortable, moved the chair even closer to mine, and then put her head on my shoulder/chest area. I then finally fully put my arm around her and even rested some of my head and chin on hers head. The problem is I think she was drunk. She wasn’t fully drunk, like she was conscious and everything, and we even had conversations normally, but I’m not sure if she did this intentionally or if she was just drunk.

Two other things that happened are 1. this wasnt the first little fire pit we did at Mitchells house, the first time, it was the same group me and my friends and Gabriella and her friends. That night we had the fire pit but she noticed that I wasnt vibing and wasn't talking much while on the contrary I was in a much better mood this night and talked and joked around a lot. She noticed that last fire pit I didnt have that much of a great time and left early so she said that to me since it seemed she felt a little irritated or pressured or maybe even a little upset that I had not been vibing that night.

The second thing she did was that she called me over and pulled me aside privatley in the front yard and asked me "If I always thought of her as a little girl" I was confused and didnt know how to respond to that so I just said no, but knew that the question was weird because we were both a little drunk but not to the point where we were super super drunk.

The girls and Colin decided they wanted to get some snacks around 3am lol so we decided to walk there (bad idea since we were all either drunk or half drunk lol but a much better idea than drunk driving) When we were walking, we held hands a little bit too, and she stood close by me. What are possible scenarios, or what do you think this means?

  • She just turned 18 this July and i'm 21
  • I have known Mitchell and Gabriella for more than 15+ years our families are very very very close. I met Mitchell in first grade back in 2009 and in turned also knew his family since.
  • We weren't sober but we weren't drunk drunk either. Me and Gabriella had full conversations even after drinking
  • We followed each other on instagram earlier today

The main questions I have

  1. Am i overthinking this? Based of the story and the events that unfolded does it seem like she's actually genuinely interested despite alcohol consumption or was it the alcohol influencing her decisions?

  2. , If the signs and actions were genuine then how do I explain it to Mitchell since he's been my best friend for all these years that gabriella is interested in me

  3. Should I send her a casual friendly DM or wait to meetup again in real life to gather further context and clarify her actions before making a move? (Of course before making a move I would also wait to see my friends Mitchells opinion before making a move)
