It's not equal, they never speak about how boys get assaulted every day, how men get groped and touched without their permission and treated like slabs of meat, it's a joke, and anytime you do something a woman doesn't like you always have to be on guard that it doesn't get you accused of trying to assault them, they act like men can't get uncomfortable or assaulted

Rape culture is real they just don’t include men in that discussion which pissed me tf off.

I say rape culture is real because our society often victim blames victims especially when the victim is male. You even see this being done by professionals such as, therapist, psychologist, and psychiatrist.

Truth is, we need in-depth sex education to truly inform people on sex, how to obtain consent, and how to handle: rape, sexual harassment, sexual assault. If I’m being honest there’s much more that should be taught like protection for men and women, how to pleasure a man, how to pleasure a woman, periods, etc.

There’s so much but our public education system is just bad at sex ed. And unfortunately one side of the political isle pushes purity culture which does no good for anyone.

I’m apart of gen z and the most I got for sex ed in health class was a short video, a diagram, and they handed out condoms as well as told us where to get them. That’s barely a surface level sed ed course. Things may have change now because I was born in the 2000s, but that’s all I got taught in school nothing more. I didn’t even know female condoms existed until I was 24 lol.

I think the accusations of rape culture were valid, once upon a time. The 2015 Brock Turner case was a pretty infamous example. There was a lot of press coverage, and I'm not 100% sure on all the facts, but on the surface at least, it seemed like a pretty open and shut case of rape not being taken seriously by the legal system. It apparently led to a lot of laws being changed.

These days, however, the pendulum has obviously swung too far in the opposite direction.

Let’s not turn into a feminist hate subreddit. Feminism isn’t about hating on men. Rape affects everyone, neither do feminists advocate in favour of rape jokes on men.
