TL/DR I have lost my professional drive to grow my career and help others

I am still reeling after the events that led me to have to leave my previous position. I have also tried to post this a few times, but because of the pain I still feel, I have been unable to.

This was late 2021. I worked in the health care sector in a department of other professionals. During a department meeting to discuss the ethical challenges of our field in delivering service to historically disenfranchised populations, I was accused by a gang of white women of continuing a legacy of white supremacy. In essence, I challenged the Kendi/Diangelo constructs, noting the circular logic used within (i.e. evidence not in our favor actually supports our POV); called out the revision of some language as 'newspeak' and how when others do not conform, they are ostracized; which is fundamentally illiberal and the opposite of what they are purporting in terms of values such as inclusion.

These statements were not out of the blue. For the year prior, I had witnessed the use of less experienced female members of the department to push agendas and distort data to confirm the 'biases.' I had participated in committees that attempted to address these, which fell apart due to several obstinate female members who basically said that a white male has no place in working on issues of diversity and inclusion because I would inherently "colonize" the effort. And these same members used hearsay months prior to have a disciplinary letter written about me by spreading rumors that I complimented a woman's haircut and asked her about her tattoo at separate times in a hallway conversation.

At the end of the meeting described above, a letter of complaint was written about my behavior. I was screamed at, called names, spoken over, yet kept my cool and stood my ground. They lied and said I was yelling (I was the only one not yelling by the end) and made claims that my gender put them in fear based on what I was saying (which, in the end, had the theme of "let's give each other the benefit of the doubt and recognize that while we have differences, what we share is more valuable.")

I wished it ended there. The primary complainant coached an intern to file a complaint against me separately. Essentially, she lied about two things... a sexually inappropriate statement that never happened, and that I intentionally prevented her, as a person of color, from participating in work groups such as the committee I described above. Neither were true. I had only met with her once for consultation and we had a generally pleasant conversation. I did say that the committee she wanted to join was no longer in existence. I have no idea what she was talking about in terms of licking. The investigation pulled out innocuous anecdotes, such as me talking about an NPR story about wearing masks during COVID and how we only know some people by their eyes, resulting in a "surprise" when you first see them without one. I was accused of inappropriately discussing body parts.

It was a whirlwind of investigations. I was completely exonerated for the first one (that I was a white supremacist) but because the 2nd was 'he said/she said,' I was given a formal written warning and lost some professional privileges. I had to escape that toxic work environment and transferred out (luckily, I could do that.) This warning expires in a few months.

I have done therapy, both individual and group, to help treat the depression that I have endured for the last two years. This includes medications. My family suffered. I was professionally embarrassed and have retreated from leadership positions, both out of anger/trauma and fear/trauma that this happened, and it could happen again. I have contempt towards leadership who wanted me to "just let the process play out" and who had other examples of this core group "cancelling" others through these kinds of witch hunts, only to provide me with little support and essentially "out to dry."

I have shared my story with very few and get a big "WTF" response when I do because anyone who knows me knows that I am a person of integrity and kindness. I struggle with healing due to the moral injuries I have endured and I am sharing this story in hopes that I can get some healing advice from others
