Learn some routines/scripts/jokes you can use when a moment of silence occurs.

Learn 2-3 magic tricks with money or cups/bottles, then draw a series of numbers in the air with your finger and tell the girl: "Do you know what just happened? You just got my phone number. Yes! Seriously! It is printed on the label of your panties when you go to the bathroom check it and send me a nice text". It is a joke but it will break the monotony.
If someone walks near you, say to the girl: "Oh, see that guy? He reminds me of a friend of mine who was in XYZ city [insert funny story].

Also, instead of talking about the weather, make her talk about herself; if she is quiet, remember that the other person is mirroring what she sees, so don't say that she is the problem, but actually she is just mirroring your attitude, so change the monotony. If you really cannot find a topic to talk about, it is much better to let the other person know that you cannot come up with an idea, they will help you because the silence is awkward for them too.

I would ask her questions about herself. You don’t have to talk. Ask her what her favorite movie is. Ask her to tell you about the first time she saw it. Ask about the last time she saw it. Then ask what her favorite food or drink is. Ask about when she eats it, who makes it, is there a place that makes it the best? Ask what is on her bucket list. Then start asking slightly flirty questions and see if she smiles and answers back.

Basically, show interest in her and act like you’re listening. Compliment her and get her to talk about herself. If she feels comfortable enough to be a little silly with you or tell you about her real thoughts then you increase your odds.

Don’t try to figure out endless topics to blabber about, but make some plan how you can escalate physical and mental intimacy with a girl by certain activities, actions or conversation. During a moment of silence you can always come closer to a girl or suggest changing place or some different activity. If you run out of ideas or possibilities to escalate or if there is no mood for progressing anymore, it’s usually better to call it a day than exercising flat and fruitless atmosphere and dynamics.
