As a woman:

Some women have this mixtures of arrogance and paranoia that leads them to believe that all men are 1) attracted to them and 2) inherently violent. Unfortunate right now we are in a place where this attitude is popular. You did nothing wrong, she's the one who acted inappropriately, not you.

Do not feel bad about upsetting her, in fact, try to avoid women with that attitude.

This is the modern day brother. Can’t be nice or friendly with women, be cold and dead-panned. They really will suck the soul of you, for no reason, regardless of your actual actions. Nobody will believe you, side with you, or think about your POV. Most of the world is made up of white-knights and feminists, its just what it is. This hurts me also a lot brother, but don’t submit, don’t become weak, don’t fall into their frame. This behaviour is an attempt at doing that, just understand WOMEN ARE NOT YOUR FRIENDS im surr you already knew guys aren’t your friends either. Hope this helps

It's not your fault, but to be honest it's a bit silly question you asked because she has hundreds if not thousands of encounters like that in a day. So she definitely didn't remember you.

I could tell you are approximately 18-22 age range.

We all been there. I too remember a disgusted look this girl gave me when I invited her for a dance on friends wedding, I was 21. And at that time I felt exactly like you - sad and disappointed. It will pass, and it's not a big deal. If something like that would happen today (I'm 37 soon), I would laugh about it and would have called out the obvious.

Also, it’s important to remember that the majority of help or advice subs on Reddit are basically full of males and females with no knowledge of the issue they are talking about or life experience in general and are building their social norms off of the tiktok videos they watch all day. So you end up with people virtue signalling to others like themselves for the karma, it doesn’t actual help the OP with their situation.

Some people shouldn't work in public/customer facing roles. Even if she didn't remember you, there was no need to act like that. But I think we've all had people serve us who can be grade A assholes. She might be defensive, but still.

Try not to let it affect you. You sound like a lovely cheery person, and you've had a day of what sounds like great interactions with others, focus on that.

Some random stranger has a weird reaction and it screws you up so bad you are afraid to enter the station?

Also, nothing you mentioned shows any remote attempt to hit on someone. She could have just been having a bad day, why are you assigning intent, and guilt for something that didnt even happen?

Just shrug it off and move on with your life.

It seems to me, her reaction made a tremendous change to your mental state, has it? I mean, sure it would be nicer for her to smile; but you never know people's motives and maybe she was thinking about something else, like I say, you never know for certain why somebody reacted the way they did.

Note, I'm not saying anyone is at fault for anything. I don't think anything wrong happened here. I think it's a pretty normal interaction, which has had quite a drastic effect on you…
