Been on TRP for about a year, but I still have one large issue regarding behaviour and mindset.
In this post, /u/redpillschool reminds us that TRP at its core is about male sexual strategy, and finding the most effective ways of being successful in relationships. Self improvement is in there, but is not the actual end-goal. There are other subreddits for that.
Basically, should you be stoic, completely insensitive and outcome independent and damp your feelings to a minimum, or should you be having a blast all the time, being loud and this over the top guy who in my head is your typical Chad.
In my head, a guy who is stoic is not attractive to women, nor is he really attracted to them. He is so outcome independent that women don't bother him at all. He stops approaching. Why bother with them when they don't bring me any value? (Your typical monk mode-guy)
My view on stoicism might be skewed, even though I consider /r/stoicism to be a great sub.
I can probably answer my own question, too, by just saying that you can be stoic when you are in monk mode and switch when you're out of it. I still want this whole thing explained since there seems to be plenty of contradiction on TRP regarding this.
Edit: Jesus Christ you have a big problem in this sub with how you judge and post advice. Seriously, if this is what /r/asktrp has become, I'm worried for how new guys are taught the philosophies. I know TRP, I know stoicism and am readily fascinated by both - but I mixed the definitions and stretched stoicism to something it is not.
