We often see posts on redit about men who find out their kids aren't really their kids and they choose to leave their partner who had the kids via an affair, sometimes they choose to stay in the kids lives and other times they don't. Often times they'll be put on child support as they "accepted parental responsibility already".

We then also see posts where men either ask for or get paternity tests when their kids are born and are immediately served divorce papers as a result.

Almost all these posts prioritise women's voices on the topic and anyone supporting the man is often downvoted to eternity, but I'd like to hear from men on this subject and understand the thoughts of our community.

What are your thoughts on paternity testing, should it be done as standard at birth or not? If not, should it be required before awarding child support and if paternity is false, child support not awarded regardless of how much time has passed since the child was born?

Are there alternatives?
