Girls actually like serious, logical men. You can talk about philosophy all day, but you need to have that simultaneous, non verbal sexual conversation to stimulate emotion regardless of the convos subject matter. That is the difference between the 1 on 1 and the social setting interactions.

Women view detached behaviors as a form of sexual challenge...makes no sense but is what it is. It's a balancing act of being social yet both verbally and non verbally indifferent.

A standard example is if we are talking on the couch and the girl starts moving closer, instead of leaning in or staying put, I lean away a little but keep my gestures open as if I'm denying her, and usually SHE will be the one who initiates physical touch.

Maybe you should find someone who gets turned on when talking about philosophy and stuff? And you could talk about it to each other. Maybe to reduce any philosophical topic to your relationship, to her and yours worldview. If you get close to a person in a very intimate platonic way, it's not so far from a physical intimacy.

Talking about philosophy and serious topics isn’t really the issue it’s more about how you talk about them. Can you bring them up in a way that has a hint of teasing? If you can pull that off and I believe you can it would take your approach to the next level. Make the topics fun. Share facts that’ll make her laugh, say outrageous things, keep it unpredictable. Be authentic. These topics clearly interest you, and you seem to lean into them in uncomfortable situations. Why not turn that tendency into a strength? And for the physical escalation why not use your knowledge in a way were if you’d talk about philosophy and the human connection, hold her hand and give her a fact about how the connection between you is the perfect example for human connection. She will laugh and that serious topic will be fun.

Talking about serious topics is never a problem, is how you do it, there is a thin line between being interesting and being pedantic, if you like those topics, turn them in to questions. Remember everyone, and women in particular, likes to talk about themselves; so guide the conversation to ensure they do.

For example I used to ask about worst bumble/tinder date, its a cheesy dumb question I know, but every girl has had at least a shit date from the apps, so you can have her talk about herself, makes some jokes, maybe use a funny not hostile neg, and why not introduce some serious topic; then you change to another question and so on; chicks will have a blast and if you now how to escalate then you have a second date assured.

Of course this aint 100% effective, chemisty matters alot, some chicks are predisposed to hate your guts depending on your personality, some are dumb as rocks, etc, but the framework works very well even though.

I guess you simply don't have proper theory to make proper practice. Search for some guide how to conduct gradual escalation of physical intimacy. Test different methods and mindsets and process the feedback to find your optimal way. About topics, remember that these are only emotions that matter, you won't progress with your relation by showing off with some interesting theory, talk simple and relatable things, make jokes, and create opportunities where you can come closer to a girl. Like with a child, there is no point to be too comprehensive. About eye contact, I believe it's the thing of looking your fear straight in the eyes. Come closer, smile, breath deeply and just make that direct and straight contact. You wanna have sex but you can't even check out her eyes? What's more intimate thing to do? You are the one that needs to take control, bring it on.
