Full text: Hey guys, I really would appreciate any and all advice on my issue. :(

Me and my bf just started dating (Nov 1st) and I've come to know him a lot even before he asked me to be his gf. Me and him both are academically smart, we both had a killer GPA in high school and both are killing it in college rn.

Problem is, we are both terrible at math. He hasn't done Algebra since high school and he is taking Algebra 1 (that's the standard starting math class for his community college).

He recently had a BIG exam and he studied for hours and he always carves out chunks of time in his week to do homework and study. He says that his teacher is an ass because he never tells the students what's on the exam, he gives them no practice questions or really anything, he just says "exam/quiz is on these chapters, good luck" and makes the students guess what the main topics are and all that kinda stuff.

He woke up this morning to find out that he failed the exam with a 34% and is on the verge of failing the class. I offered to help him as best I could to recover from this and pass his class but he declined my help, I think is pride and ego is getting in the way of asking his gf for help. I don't know what to do and I don't want him to fail this class either.

Any advice?

This isn't your problem to fix. You offered help. He declined. I would recommend dropping it until he brings it up again.

There's nothing for you to do. You offered to help and he declined it. It's his class, his grade, his responsibility.
