Context: I'm M38, she's F37. We've been "gf/bf" for maybe a month. We went to high school together, rekindling an old fling.

I'm sober, actually am currently residing in a treatment program now where we get 6 hour passes Saturday and Sunday. We fuck every Saturday when I'm on a pass, I pay for the hotel room and it takes her over an hour to pick me up (she lives with her parents, long story).

Last night she went to a casino for a graduation party... she wanted me to go but I didn't want to be around that drinking. I told her this morning that if she's tired/hungover I don't want to fuck today, I don't like it when females are sloppy. I had already paid for the hotel room as she never has canceled. She got real defensive, told me I'm her priority on the weekends, etc. Then she says her grandpa isn't doing well and she's waiting to hear from her parents if they are going to see him because it's a day long trip...20 minutes later and 3 hours before we were supposed to meet up she says she's gotta cancel cause she's going with them. I told her "Hope he is well. Let me know if you want to reschedule."

I feel like this is a retaliation for telling her I didn't want to hangout if she's sloppy. I'm not really buying the grandpa thing, although it could be true. I'm very pissed because she burned up time that other people wanted to spend time with me and the cost of the hotel room. She offered to pay me back for it but I don't want to take food out of her kids mouths.

I didn't express my anger, just sent the "Hope he is well. Let me know if you'd like to reschedule." She replied "of course I do, can we meet before next weekend?" She already knows we can't...we've been talking long enough that she knows my schedule.

My question is was my reply a good move by essentially putting the ball in her court? How should I respond to her reply knowing I can only go out Saturday and Sunday? Is there any way to convey that my time isn't to be fucked with without seeming needy?

Thank you, I was able to pull her in and start the relationship with the help of you guys, just looking for more guidance.
