First of all, I'd like to thank everyone for their advice so far. It was this sub which really got me into lifting about 4-5 months back and I've definitely got some noticeable gains now. I used to be crazy skinny but when I take my shirt off now there is a lot more bulk (Still plenty of room for more muscle but I'm not too skinny any more) and my arms are bigger than all of my friends who don't lift. I've got multiple compliments from guys but none from girls as of yet, probably due to the fact that I'm still not big, it's just a big contrast between old me and me now.

I'm also feeling much more confident because I feel far taller now at his new school (Next level of education). It seems my old school was really tall since I was always one of the shorter people at about 5'8.5, but I'm taller than the majority of the girls and a fair few of the guys now so I'm more confident now. Also studying hard for difficult A-levels, triple science (Bio,Chem,Phys) and Maths.

This is where the question starts. I have found I have no difficulty talking to people I am kind of made to talk to through lessons and come across as confident as you can be/know from previous years, but the issue arises when just talking generally. I seem to be very poor at just talking to random people in the class so I come across as pretty quiet just because I'm not one to just talk for no real reason, I generally only initiate conversation for a valid reason beyond just conversation and then I can converse normally, but until then I'm stumped when it comes to just talking. How do people generally overcome this?

I don't know if it's confidence or what because I have no issues starting a conversation around work nor do I have any issue keeping it going when it's started, I just seem to be shit at having random conversation with random people. Any tips or anything?
