I have a v dear friend who lets men treat her very poorly. Very poorly. They’ll slid into her DMs. Ask for nudes then disappear for a year. Some of them block her. Some swoop back in and she’s open to “discussing” why they went away. A man she’s speaking to will come to her town, not tell her, and she’ll be sad but say “it’s ok. I’ll keep him as a friend”.
I snapped and called it out and she’s v hurt. She said she’s sad by my “opinion of her”.
I’d always bite my tongue when discussing men and feel like I’m walking on eggshells.
I told her as women we need to collectively raise the bar. I guess it was not my place. Idk.
Any thoughts? Should I apologise?
It’ll sound bad but I don’t want to associate with her when it comes to men. I don’t want to accept those standards.
