I was forced to use it. She would regularly use my messages and spin them in a way where she would constantly use it against me in court. I got so sick and tired of it that after 6 years of seeing my messages sent to my lawyer (nothing but being polite) and somehow used against me, that I just stopped using the app. When I stopped using the app, I finally freed myself from paying for it and would only check it sporadically from the free website. But it’s gotten to a point that her messages are a bunch of traps that I just don’t even bother reading them anymore. I have completely ghosted her and gone no contact with her. I don’t care what the court order says. She has broken many of them multiple times over from withholding custody 6 times in 6 years to calling CPS on me twice.

I’ve had enough. I’m tired of fighting. The judge has warned her with sanctions if she kept it up too. I got a divorce because I didn’t want to fight with that woman anymore. Talking parents forced me to talk to her, which kept causing arguments for the first few years after the divorce was finalized. Talking parents forced me to face my abuser over and over again bringing up so much PTSD from all the court battles and ex partes.

Once I freed myself from talking parents, I finally freed myself from my ex wife.

I use it but I don't pay for it. I figure I'll pay for it if she starts getting obnoxious and it looks like I'll have to pull records.

I put it in the custody order, I saw the reviews and complaints about it but I wanted something that I could use if needed.

And, it provides some separation.

It's a good way to keep her from blowing up my phone and shes always very polite on it.

Worst case, I figure I can do screen shots of talking parents and text messages she sends as a contrast of the difference in behavior between the two.

I chose to stick with emails there is a free option called app close
