It feels like a every movie and tv show lately is about some disenfranchised misunderstood manic sociopathic woman who goes on a killing spree that usually involves killing as many men as possible usually starting with her boyfriend who wasn’t giving her enough of his time. It’s revenge porn made to appeal to misandrists.

What’s worse is the reaction these stories get from female audiences who claim the characters are justified in their actions. I’ve seen it happen over and over so many times, even in music videos. It’s getting old and I’m tired of it being excused by the “she’s just a girl” mentality. Movies like Joker are accused of being “incel” yet don’t glorify that behavior, in fact they do the opposite. Meanwhile stories like this glorify these female protagonists in being righteous, even relatable murderers for the female fan-base to cheer on.
