Fun fact: Mike Tyson's original rape conviction (for which he served 3 years in prison) was also complete nonsense. If you look at the facts of the case, you can find:

His accuser had been caught falsely accusing another man of rape. The court did not allow this to be said during the trial.
His accuser was starting her period on the night he allegedly raped her. She went to the bathroom in his hotel room and removed her tampon. She did not replace it despite having another tampon in her bag.
Several women witnessed Mike Tyson and his accuser kissing passionately in the hotel lobby. Their testimony was dismissed based on a technicality.
His accuser reported to the police that she had asked Tyson, "Do you want to be on top?"

It was a he-said she-said case, with virtually no evidence against Tyson but plenty that would naturally exonerate him, yet he was found guilty anyway.

The advantages of pursuing a lawsuit for rape are so big and the consequences are so little that I truly doubt all of them.

He could argue that 30 years ago, she raped him and it would be just as plausible
