I try and organise a men rights party, and it gets smeared by the media and shut down, I also get arrested for being sexist

unless we pull a femnist and stage Global protests we will all be arrested by the cops

or well if your amercian you'd be smeared by the media

I think there is a common assumption out there that this sub and MRA are mostly just complaining. But it's just a matter of perspective. If you're just gonna see this sub and MRA for everything that it's not, then youre just a pessimistic cunt. The mens rights community is growing, and at this stage, it's about building support and membership numbers. Its about spreading facts and information that people can use in their everyday discussions to help shift the overall narrative.

Instead of seeing it as complaining, try seeing it as venting. There are a good deal of men who just want to be heard and validated. Calling it "self-pity" also shows a glaring lack of empathy.

I understand that the feminist movement is much larger in number than MRAs, but why is it that the feminists get a pass with the less than desirable members? It seems to me that the MRA movement is constantly being defined by its dumbest members, while feminism doesn't face hardly any real scrutiny.

I think the biggest step back in terms of real action for MRAs was the assassination of Marc Angelucci. He was an attorney that helped out with the NCFM (national coalition for men), and was one of the main people fighting for a gender neutral draft.

I think the counterpoint he tries to put on his argument is wrong, and makes the rest of it look worse.

Women love to talk about their problems and express their feelings, and what they want more than anything is for someone to listen. They do not necessarily even want the problem solved. They just want sympathy.

There are definitely some groups who look like they're just complaining, but he ruins anything he could have said because why is women wanting to be heard and not wanting their problem solved not considered complaining? That's literally complaining. Listen to me complain about problem, and get mad at people for helping.

Also, the amount of women who attack men for not agreeing with them is huge... Calling them misogynists, incels, virgins, dangerous violent and more. Man vs bear, yes all men, male spaces being attributed to Andrew Tate. They cite things like rape statistics even though when women perform the same act against men, it can't be called rape even though it is, cite wage gaps that are false, and etc.

If you call men monsters, how many of them are going to want to exist in normalcy? The only ones who are going to want to exist are either strong enough to not care, or are actual monsters so they don't feel insulted at all.

There's a reason people attract what they attract. Because for whatever reason, they're attracting it. Most men know not to even step foot in a woman's space. Everyone is ready to give you a verbal beating for nothing. You are a crayola haired feminist? Watch everyone stay away from you. You want people to make a million dollars? Only hustlers and liars incoming. Want him to fly you out? Expect to be used.

They're doing the equivalent of "when you dress provocatively you're asking for it" but with other things. No they're not literally asking for predatory men to be attracted to them, but they're basically holding a sign up telling men how to use them by being used themselves. Who do you think is going to be most excited to see that type of information? PREDATORS, or people who want to stay FAR away from you.

Trying to take any action in real life while being explicitly an MRA will be a career suicide and I don't think anyone here wants to lose their job or be ostracized. Not to mention any attempts to actually raise any issues regarding men or boys would have you completely equivocating all the time or "bootlick" feminists like Richard Reeves is currently doing.

The least we can do is that we should implicitly work on removing systemic discrimination and bias against men and boys. Possibly get more male teachers so as to reduce the bias against boys (I would personally prefer boys only schools), look into Title IX violations and ensure equal scholarships and financial aid for boys and girls (something like Mark J. Perry as been doing), gather more evidence on bias in admissions and jobs against boys and girls especially in STEM fields and take legal actions against it, raise more awareness about male victims of physical and sexual abuse and work more on gender neutral laws for rape and domestic violence etc.

Apart from that, we need to have more spaces where men can discuss their issues and give themselves advice. Having places similar to that of Men's Sheds in Australia will also be good.
