I don’t even know what “my male students won’t talk to me” means. That’s such a vague complaint that it would need to be expanded upon to figure out if there’s even a problem.

If she’s calling on them in class and they say “I will not talk to you, foid,” then sure, mark them up. But this is such a hilariously stupid scenario that I’m sure that’s not what’s happening. I’d say it’s more likely that the boys don’t treat her like a substitute mother, and it’s bothering her, because… reasons.

In any case, you’re not their mother or their friend. Do your job and let them socialize with people they actually like: other boys.

It’s not them being incels or propaganda. Honestly it’s bs that they think this way. They have to stop playing the victim. They need to realize that the world doesn’t revolve around them. Just because you’re a teacher and your student doesn’t talk to you doesn’t mean they don’t like you. If they would listen to these young boys instead of neglecting them, they wouldn’t be acting this way. Besides they create this false narrative of young men that just want to be validated and understood. The only thing that I have to say is this….They made their bed now they must lie in it.

I wonder if that article factors in Islam. IIRC there was an article a few years back about how Muslim students in Australia were being disrespectful to female teachers due to the culture they came from. Granted i think it got taken down for alleged 'islamophobia' but i'd still think fundamentalist Muslims would have more to do with boys not listening to teachers than Tate, who i doubt most school agr kids have heard of outside of media fearmongering...

No one cares or more likely male teachers would be criticised and an attempt would be made to understand why young girls don't want to talk to male teachers, probably blaming the "patriarchy".

Yeah, I was reading a similar post the other day about women in the workplace, the OOP was offended and whining on redit because her male colleagues were only talking to her about professional matters and weren't being personal with her.

I got downvoted ridiculously for saying its a workplace, not her social circle and how creepy it is to expect personal relationships with your colleagues.

I mean, let's face it... men are doing precisely what women have been asking us to do for years (leave them alone), now they weaponise it against us.
