So two days ago I’d (25M) matched with a very attractive lady in her 40s. Who was super upfront that she just wanted a NSA hookup, and wanted to engage in some pretty fucking kinky stuff and offered to “teach” anything I hadn’t done before. Elaboration not needed here.
So we messaged for over an hour, had it planned out to link up that night, down to the time and she had my address and everything. And she ghosted. There’s maybe 1-2 texts I would’ve sent differently, but nothing overly weird, needy or desperate, aside from “Hey here’s my number if it’s easier for you” as we were planning it. And I probably messed up in asking “Are you still down” around the time we had planned.
So at the end of the day, yes I know it’s a numbers game. And either I did something that turned her off or she lost interest or found someone different. But I’ve been in my head all fucking day about this “one that got away” type of shit that’s been driving me crazy. I do have a bit of a thing for older women, and I’m not insanely attractive, so the odds of this coming up again are so low.
How do you recover, mentally, from feeling like you fumbled a unicorn? Is the best strategy just to get back out there? I still have a couple girls in the texting rotation, but have been in a dry spell aside from a hookup last week where the girl was miserably bad.
