My advice is to make sure your home is inviting. I presume they'll be sleeping in a spare bedroom? If so, make sure the room is clean, inviting and has adequate room for their belongings.

You might consider planning out the meals for the time they'll be with you, including any needed grocery shopping. Maybe plan a couple of activities that everyone will enjoy.

Personally that's where I would start.

There'll be plenty of youtube videos on this topic if you search. But I would envision the interaction and walk through each step. If you're a shoes off household, how will you politely share it with them on entry? Do you have a cloak cupboard for them to remove their coats, hats, scarves, etc or will you take them and place them in their room? Spare everything! - toothbrushes, toilet paper, towels, and make it very easy for them to access. If you can, try and have a multiple course meal and keep in mind dietary requirements. Have a light plan for the days, like 'oh we have some games that we thought would be good to play' but be adaptable and open to deviate from it, I think it's just good to have on hand in case they just end up sitting around bored. Also, give them privacy and time to rest and relax when they arrive, especially if they are travelling to come see you.

My husband and I have recently moved into a bigger space and are hosting his parents at our house for the first time for the entire weekend. We’re also having his sister’s family come over for a big dinner with everyone Sunday! What are some essentials or advice you might have for a weekend stay with the in-laws??
