Mainly my question is how to deal with that awkward moment when a girl sees you with another one? (read the whole post for more context )

So on Tuesday i met a girl and we had a good chat, then we split up without taking her contact (i was doing this just to get ride of shyness), but after i was home i felt there was some good connection,so i hoped that she may go back to the same place.

2 dyas later i went to the same place in that garden where i saw her, but i saw another another girl setting just close to that place so i thought why not go and talk to her, so i did but like an hour later the first girl came and set at the same place, and saw me clearly with this girl and probably she knows it is me... a little moments later this second girl leaves.

I thought about pretending not seeing that first girl and leave and come back tomorro hoping that she might come to the same palce again, but i thought it might be a bad idea so i just went and passed by her and said hi and set beside her, stupid me and for no reason i mentioned that second girl by saying : i said hi to that girl and she started talking about how she doesn't look for love because of her bad past experiences, i did not even mention this to her.... She replies : I thought you know her ( i could notice the smile fades out of her face)... Then i said : no .... And a pause of silence comes .... Tried to not make it more awkward and continued chatting for a little moment and made an excuse to leave.

Unfortunately i really hoped to build something with that first girl because i felt some good connection. But i can't try anything with her anymore because it will just make things more awkward and see me as a stupid guy who approachs and chases every girl.

Any idea on how to deal with cases like this? I know i fucked it up when i mentioned that second girl to her but something was telling me that doing so might get ride of her assumptions about me, but ended up making things more worse.

Edit : another question : she told me that she has a retake exam tomorrow, but still came to the garden !! Do you think she was hoping for a second interaction or am i just imagining it? And should i try to fix things or just forget about it ?
