I am going to be telling my wife that I want a divorce in the next couple weeks, or up to 2 months. I have 2 adult kids, 18 and 21, one is away at college and will be coming home for Christmas. I cannot do anything in regards to telling her for at least the next 3 weeks due to job issues.

Should I tell my wife like beginning December and tell the kids after Christmas but before the one goes back to college? Should I tell them all the same day after Christmas? I'm really struggling with the timeline to not make it terrible for when they come home for Christmas. It should be a amicable divorce and uncontested but it will catch my wife off guard when I tell her. My kid goes back to college on Jan 3rd, I hate to tell them on Jan 1, maybe like December 28th tell them before they go back? I think when I tell my wife it's over and I tell her I want to tell the kids she will respect that. Just not sure of how to navigate this. Any help or thoughts would be great. Thanks
