I. Absolutely on his side, he said multiple times he were there for work and nkt a romantic getaway. People who dont travel for work cant understand how mentally and emotionally exhausting it is.

If I were him, Id be giving serious second thoughts to this relationship, becaude it seems she doesnt listen and refuses to understand when he sets very reasonable boundaries.

I like how everyone’s saying “you don’t like her” as if he’s in the wrong for possibly feeling that way and not just her being an annoying overgrown child. I don’t blame him, I don’t like her either.

One thought I have is that if the genders were reversed, the only similarity would be the conclusion: they should absolutely break up. (Not that I necessarily think they have to, but it clearly doesn't seem like a healthy relationship now).

The difference is how we treat the word "no." When a man says no, he’s called cold, accused of not loving his partner, and told he should've just "banged her really quick" to be nice.

When a woman says no nowadays, she is (rightfully) supported. But the irony is that the logic being used here that "you should pleasure your partner just to show you care" was a very popular idea in the past for women. We stopped telling women they owed their husbands sex, but apparently, people are still comfortable forcing that outdated mindset onto men.

It’s the difference between the comments we'd see:
If OP was a woman: "GIRL, RUN! He is abusive!"
Since OP is a man: "Dude... you don't even like her, do you?"

Switch the genders on that second reply, and that dude is a monster. She was trying to engage sex and go out on dates when it sounds like the guy is working 10 hour days in a rush job, and dude's reply was that sometimes, you gotta do things you don't want for the marriage? Makes my skin crawl. Gross.

Indirectly calling her stupid would obviously cause a negative reaction, no surprise there. He could have handled this with more tact but I have no idea about his mental state and how long he has been dealing with this type of behavior. But do her actions really tell a different story or is he actually being correct in his assertion? Regardless, I hope their issue is resolved without this type of pointless bickering

Are women today literal children??? I have been in two relationships like this where they basically expect me to bend to whatever whims they have and get all upset if I don’t. It’s manipulative.
