I posted this in divorce women, however I want to hear both sides.

English is not my first language. I (48 M) separating . Every time I look for arguments about divorce/separation, it looks like white and black approach. Anecdotally, it seems to me that men are blindsided by the divorce, or bitter about having to pay alimony/child support while the ex is in another relationship already, accused of being narcisistic, no accountability, etc. Women claimed they are not happy anymore in the relationship or got tired waiting for the man to change, no accountability . How many times do you try to repair or rebuild before calling it quit? I do really want to understand this approach. For men, what is the meaning of being happy or not being happy anymore? How can you be happy all the time? It looks like happiness is not gender neutral. What is the meaning of "I love you but I am not in love with you anymore"? Is it easier to file for divorce/split than kneel down and do your best to rekindle? Abuse/domestic violence/ infidelity not taken into account for this post.

Thank you!
