I think what we need to make clear is not so much that the gender pay gap does not exist, but the reasons as to why it exists.

Some of the points that the video makes:

-The biggest reason for the gender pay gap is reproduction. When women reproduce (especially if they reproduce two or more times), their workforce participation rate plummets. We can see this when we use the control group: women who do not reproduce. When women do not reproduce, their lifetime earnings are near the equivalent of a man's earnings.

-In addition, women tend to gravitate to more humanistic jobs (social work, teaching, nursing, etcetera), while men tend to gravitate to more technical work (surgeons, engineers, skilled trades, etcetera). First, technical jobs tend to pay more in general. Second, technical jobs tend to be scaleable, meaning that the more work that I do in a technical field, the more I am reimbursed (for example, a plumber makes more money the more plumbing jobs that they do. A teacher makes the same amount of money, no matter how many students they teach).

The important thing is to push back against the feminist narrative. Feminists have successfully convinced the general public that the reason for the gender pay gap is sexism, which is absolutely false.

Yes, the "pay gap" myth is actually an earnings gap. Men work worse jobs for more pay. Men also work longer hours for more pay. This creates the EARNINGS GAP. Men EARN more on average because they work jobs that are less desirable but pay more and men work more.

Does motherhood affect women's earnings? Yes. The best policy solution is to provide paternity leave as long as maternity leave because then employers cannot discriminate by assuming only women might be on leave from having children. Leave for childcare (maternity and paternity) are excellent for child development as well!

Additionally, there are other gaps. Men are much more likely to die doing the more dangerous jobs so there is a death gap. Men are also much more likely to do work that is not considered "meaningful" (interesting, regarding, fun, and etc.). The meaningful jobs more likely go to women and then men are more likely to do work based on pay.

All of this contributes to the earnings gap where on average men earn more than women by working worse jobs and working longer.

Furthermore, for men and women born after 1980, the average woman has earned more money than the average man during their entire lives. The pay gap myth is entirely reversed and shows that since the 1980s, Millennial men and younger make less money on average compared to women the same age!

The new pay gap makes sense because women have outnumbered men in college since the 1970s. Women now outnumber men 2:1 (66.67%) in graduating college and have been above 60% for decades. More women graduate from med school and other doctor programs than men since the beginning of the 2000s.
