The pure projection in this post is wild. A lot of women just see men as a tool, an object, treat them as such, and then complain if the men don't like being seen as subhuman, and try to say that not accepting that abuse is "not providing emotional labor". Men are far more likely to be the ones to carry emotional labor in a relationship, but these women aren't ready for that conversation yet

Like my last relationship. She needed me I was there for her, I needed her she ended up freaking out and I ended up having to be there for her instead. It was tiring. Especially as a home health aide who's empathetic expectations were already in high demand. So sick of the fucking being there for men at all is emotional labor bullshit. Is wanting mutual support really so fucking bad, I'm a human being not a super human.

This comment was reported for generalizing language and I won't remove it because "A lot of women" does not imply all women nor even the most this should also be a good example of what is allowed and not.

Has anyone ever actually heard a man complaining (let alone "crying") about the "male loneliness epidemic"?
I have ONLY ever heard it referenced in the context of it being some kind of supposed feminist/misandrist "gotcha".
By the way:
"Roughly equal shares of U.S. men and women say they’re often lonely"
https://www.pewresearch.org/social-trends/2025/01/16/men-women-and-social-connections/
And word of advice to any man who doesn't already know:
The only woman--- if you're lucky--- who is ever going to give you something without wanting something in return is your mom. And that's if you're fortunate.
This cross they supposedly bare of "we're the ones carrying everything while they just take" is one very warped side of the story. The same women who say stuff like that, when they're confronted with the long list a of all the things the man does, always have reasons why it doesn't count, it's the "bare minimum," and anyway, it wasn't even done right according to her standards. It's easy to come out ahead if you make yourself the score keeper.

Nope it’s only ever used as a talking point by misandrist and feminist to say “ha ha men can’t get girls” when the reality is most men are quite content with being alone.
women are the ones on social media constantly asking the same answered question “why don’t men approach?” Not the other way around.

Because men aren't the ones who said it. It was literally started by an online survey, of around 300 people, 80% of which were women. It's just another fake pop psychology piece of bs, like "single women are happier", demonstrably untrue by actual research

It was? I haven't heard about that before.
Never.
Hear a lot of women complaining about men not attending matchmaking/singles events though.

“What do you have to offer besides the strawmen you made up?”

Most men only want to have an equal relationship where both contribute instead of wanting to pay us for the privilege of being near, and to worship us like the goddesses we are without an expectation or hope for a reward. Where are the good men?

Women are more often lonely, but are only one fuck away from not being.

Was *just* at lunch with three women. Of course I heard, "Women are fine without men; men need women" and more from one woman more than the others.
Guess who had a boyfriend the next time I saw her?

A wise woman once said: If you think men only want sex from you, check what else can you give them? Women who can talk about somthing besides themselves don't struggle to keep men focused. Women who have some hobby that is not shopping or gossipping don't find their husbands and boyfrends losing interest in them. Women who care about others more than at bare minimum don't get cared about at just bare minimum.

But women get into relationships out of pure altruism. Women never demand things like financial security, protection, or status, from men.. Sure.
All humans form relationships that are mutually beneficial. That doesn't mean being selfish or wanting others to do things for you while giving nothing in return. Emotional support has always been a foundation of human connection until we started outsourcing it to paid strangers (therapists). And sex is a biological need for the majority of people.

generally transphobic as well
[–]LikeACannibal 1 point2 points3 points 3 months ago (1 child) | Copy Link
It is? Genuine question. What makes it transphobic? I'm not saying it isn't especially because the vast majority of misandrist rhetoric absolutely is, I'm just missing something on this one.

i dont think the people posting this would apply this logic to trans men or stop applying this logic to trans women
