I think many guys here are only aware of some basic stats talked about by podcasters.

Back in the 80's and 90's, there was a strong focus on finding and prosecuting adult males for child sex offenses. In many ways it did sow a level of distrust at a social level for men to be fathers, teachers of young kids etc.

Things like this is to help heal the wounds of the past, and help prevent destructive cycles from repeating themselves.

I get what they are going for with family formation, and if things worked like they did 10-20 (or even 50) years ago that would be fine, but it doesn't and they're coming off as out of touch with this (IMO).

Dating is heavily skewed because of the apps, its a shit show for a majority of men, and a large share of women hate men. Centering identity on that seems like a disaster to me. We need to build succeeding by and for ourselves, and creating good lives we can bring women into if we want.

Fluff piece. Has some ideas worth discussion (although mostly not new). Would be nice to have something more rigorous from "the centre for male psychology."

However the not-completely-negative view towards masculinity has a refreshing quality to it.

But unfortunately critics who suggest this piece lacks authority (eg, doesn't try to achieve consensus by referencing peer-reviewed works), or is overly restrictive (or even fantastical) about gender norms, or leans dogmatic....might use "guilt by association" on the somewhat positive masculinity and throw out the baby with the bathwater.

I don't appreciate how the article is information-light but appreciate actually broaches a neglected subject
