this happens a lot in rural parts of Asia and Africa,its just not spoken about because it doesnt fit into the narrative just like how genital mutation killing thousands of boys in africa wasnt talked about and twisted into "FGM still worse so it doesnt matter" and some BS like that

I don't think many people care when it happens to boys. It also seems there's a fair amount of men who would consider such boys "lucky". It's really messed up.

People only care about the wellbeing of boys when it's opportunistic to virtue signal about it, otherwise they are mostly concerned with the wellbeing of girls.
