Im going through the same problem. We’ll only truly know when we take action and approach her. There is no escape for the tension but it can be good.

I used to think about that too. I think it’s because

Girls are not as linear as we think. If we think a girl is attractive, we think she’s attractive. But with girls it might be the mood she was in that night, something about how you came across in that exact moment, the social situation in that day, even where she was in her ovulation cycle at that exact moment.
Sometimes when we have a certain expectation and we’ve already built up a certain picture in our mind from the last interaction, it makes us subconsciously act differently from the first time because we put more pressure on ourselves. And they can pick up on that energy. This is something I’ve caught myself on in the past.

Regardless we can’t always control it, the best thing is to consistently remain in your own frame. If you see these girls regularly, they’ll sometimes show interest again after they see you interacting with other women that like you, so not all is lost necessarily

Choosing signals aren't 100% sign of attraction. Girls look for whatever reason.

Girl can look at you because you look like their cousin or you have something weird on your face

sometimes mixed signals are genuinely mixed signals 😭 not every glance or compliment means someone is fully interested, and some ppl r naturally warm/flirty but inconsistent afterwards

also if u keep over-analysing every interaction, it can make u second guess urself more than necessary sia. the best way to practice hnstly is just staying calm, talking normally, and looking for consistency instead of isolated moments. if someone likes u, usually the effort and comfort level repeats over time, not just once randomly :>>

I used to regularly have girls give me the clearest signals- staring at me, pausing next to me, walking in to me…

Because I’m shy I’d just say ‘hey could I get your number?’ and everytime the lingering girl would say no, maybe even laugh.

I thought ‘oh she wasn’t interested’ and then I realised it was my lack of chat, bad chat, bad eye contact etc, and they’d just changed their minds immediately when I approached them.

Not saying this is you but girls change their minds immediately even if they were interested- that expression- initial interest is fragile- is true for girls.
