Pilot here, I know so many guys who became pilots to get girls. It works. But you have to be passionate about flying as well (which it seems you are).

Like other have said, short term relationships/ ONS/ FWB at your main destinations/ mile high club with air hostesses - 100% real you don't need dating apps at all

Dating apps - a mixed bag - much more volume than people who aren't pilots but you have to still have a bit of game

Long term relationships? Doomed or extremely hard work. There are guys who settle down and a lot of them are faithful but I don't think there will be a higher proportion of cheaters in any other industry

My own personal experience - the first couple of years were absolutely unreal, I've calmed down a bit now and looking to date long term. I also run a business and consult with OEM's - very busy guy, I am at the stage where I know I need a serious career/lifestyle change to actually invest in a real relationship

What I hear from pilots:

For casual sex it's AWESOME. But for having a long-term relationship it SUCKS ASS.

It's very difficult to be away from a girlfriend or wife for a loooong time, with very long shifts including night-shifts. Trying to maintain a healthy relationship long-term with one person under those conditions is very challenging. Lots of women cheat on husbands that have this type of job where they are gone for long stretches of time. Similar to off-shore workers (although maybe not as bad as that).

Not a pilot, but had a friend who father is. He would tell us about every women he meets after greeting on the airplane and usually have a hookup almost every shift with a stewardess or one of the passengers or someone he met at a bar. I would say it’s pretty good. (Long term relationship? Idk about that)

Similar to a seaman but with much higher status. Your main issue will be long term relationship.

being a pilot can make dating easier in some ways and harder in others.

the obvious upside is that the lifestyle sounds attractive. travel, confidence, interesting stories, good career path, different cities, new people. that can definitely give you an edge socially.

but the hard part is consistency. if you’re always moving, tired, on strange schedules, or only in a city for a short time, it becomes harder to build anything serious unless the woman is okay with that lifestyle. casual dating while traveling may be easier than building a stable relationship.

for meeting women in the places you visit, apps can work if you’re clear and not pretending you’re local long term. nightgame can work too, especially if you’re socially sharp and comfortable moving fast, but I wouldn’t build the whole thing around “gaming” every city you land in. that can get old fast.

the better question is what kind of dating life you actually want as a pilot. if it’s fun, freedom, short term connections, then the job can fit that pretty well. if it’s a serious relationship, you’ll need someone who understands the schedule and doesn’t need constant physical access to feel secure.

don’t choose the career based on dating though. if flying has always been your dream, build that life first. then learn how to date inside that lifestyle instead of trying to design your future around what might be easiest for women.
