Sometimes, when Redditors on r/MensRights discuss issues affecting men and boys, the conversation gets derailed into debates about cultural attitudes and masculinity, stereotypes, and social biases. While those factors can matter, changing deeply held beliefs is almost impossible.
Reforming laws, policies, and institutions is usually the most realistic, achievable, and effective approach for achieving lasting change and improvements, even when public opinion lags behind. We cannot change everyone’s opinions, but we can change the system!
With that in mind, what do you think are the biggest systemic issues currently affecting men and boys in the United States? What laws, policies, or institutional reforms should be changed—or introduced—to create a more fairer society for men and boys?
Note: I am only interested in systemic issues and policy reforms, not cultural attitudes, social perceptions, or stereotypes.
